Youth Pledge is the result of the formula in the second Indonesian Youth Congress. Congress was a large gathering in 1928 attended by students from all over the archipelago who are members of the Student Association of Indonesian Students (GN).
Youth Congress held three sessions in three different places. Youth organizations were present among Jong Java, Jong Batak, Jong Ambon, and Jong Islamieten Bond.
